He completed his MBBS from JNMC Belgaum, MS Orthopedics from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, and DNB Orthopedics from New Delhi, followed by an IOA Fellowship in Joint Replacement Surgery.

He has performed 2,000+ successful joint replacement surgeries and has been recognized by the Indian Book of Records for operating on a 100+ year-old patient. Dr. Bhasme has served as Associate Professor at KMCRI, Hubballi, training and mentoring young orthopedic surgeons
